Aurora Bug Reports Discussion

This is a pretty niche issue and I found a work-around but I figured I'd post anyways for anyone that might be experiencing this issue.

When launching Aurora after updating it for some reason it launches onto my third monitor. Problem is I don't have a third monitor. My main monitor uses two display port inputs so Windows thinks I have three. To fix this I needed to turn off my second monitor and relaunch Aurora which would launch it to my first monitor.

I'm running 1.3.8 currently but the started occurring on the previous update.

I don't have a video or anything because I can't replicate the issue currently but if the next update does it again I'll shoot a real quick video. Feel free to delete this post or whatever if this post contributes nothing as well.

That's quite strange.

I do have 2 monitos (DVI and DP) and a TV (HDMI) on my GPU and I have no problem like that.

I'm using windows 11 preview.

When you say "when Aurora launches after updating", do we speak about the main window or the login window? Login window should appear centered at the monitor where your cursor is currently on.

Even though your set up is quite strange and even Windows isnt able to correctly identify it. It is very strange for me that you say this ONLY happens after updating. The code that places the window is identical, whether you start it yourself or the updater starts Aurora.

Usually, When mine updates, it'll open on the Monitor 1.

Maybe he has some problem with driver that his windows say it has a third monitor.

You can force windows to stop using the dislay:

settings > display > go on monitor 3 > advance settings > remove display from desttop switch at the bottom.

So aurora can not use that monitor and if your arrow was outside screen and like 0x90 said that it launches where your arrow is that might explain why it loads on your third monitor
