That is very good to here! Too bad I don’t have my deck to confirm it, but if you could test it out, you can let others know about it too. In my opinion, even though Aya Neo is superior, Steam Deck is more popular and widely available, so I think it is worth working on
We bought 3 for $2500 each on eBay the first day they were released and worked with the device until we were blue in the face trying to make things work. We ultimately make CoSMOS work which was a feat in itself. Obviously other people not making 1000 trainers a month have time to tinker with it for months on end to try and make things work. We do not. So, if someone wants to share a walkthrough or better yet, a video tutorial on how to make Aurora work on the device since all you have made are speculations, we will be happy to post it on our site. PS - I sold my Steam Deck on eBay the day I got my AYANEO. Couldn't deal with all the restrictions on Valve's giant advertisement for buying games on Steam. I have too many other games on Gamepass, Epic, Origin, EA Play, GOG, etc that all work with my AYANEO with no tinkering or special instructions. They just work with a single click.
I actually came here to post the same thing. Here is the only video I could find about the topic- but it shows how it kind of works. Skip to the middle of the video. It seems like it is a layer in between proton and the software. It also allows for running in the same "sandbox" from what I have read on it.

I have a steam deck (at MSRP) and would love to get it working with cheat happens. I tried to run Aurora on desktop mode but I get errors. Dual boot is always an option, but with Windows being as bloated as it is - it would be nice to have a "slimmer" OS option.
Cool man.... I'm sure once people tinker with it enough they will figure it out... then Valve will patch it out... lol .. just like with the PS5 and jailbreaks (or any other proprietary platform).
But, we're going to be giving away 5 brand new AYANEO AIR handhelds this month that run AURORA natively and are lighter and thinner than both Steam Deck and Nintendo Switch! Details soon...
