When I open the game it says Steamworks Initialization failed. How do I fix this?

It's gotta be something else, could it be a bad install somehow?
I followed his steps again to letter with cheathappenss version to see if it mighta been some odd conflict / my own fault with Aurora. Still didn't work so that rules the table / engine out. There is no true offline mode for this. It will always connect in some way, even if you check SP. I doubt it, but did you do something to turn that off? I tried in steam offline mod and it just freezes on game load.

So if we're doing the same EXACT same steps with different results got to start trying to rule things out.
Does it require steam itself to be in admin mode?
There some game setting in main menu I need to have turned on?
Bad install of game itself?

I'm asking as you're the guys who deal with this, make the mods, etc. I don't mean to come off ungrateful. But trying to rack the experts brain about if there is anything else. I will 100% stream my pc on discord and you can watch it not work after picking the same settings. Or knowing life, it will work flawlessly.

Seen other users have issues and fix them, but they never state how. Seemed like a lot where from not waiting to get in-game to activate or just with the item slot. At this point I just grinded the mats and waited till the boss went into a area off the main road and fought there. Out of spite ha. But I still want to know what's up for my own sake. And on the off chance someone else has the same issue.

Try to verify your integrity with steam and see if your files are messed up somehow. otherwise try to reinstall the game.

This is as best i can explain it.

You launch the game on Steam, from the menu you do this.
Step 1: Link
Step 2: Link
Step 3: Link
Step 4: Hit start new game.
Step 5: wait till the game has loaded create your character and wait till you can walk around, then activate trainer.

And done. you can now use the trainer.

If it still won't work, try to reinstall the game or something. or verify your game files with steam. Every time i tested this. it works fine.

To Wolf98:

So if you follow DragonStryder's nice post and it still isn't working for you, then it could indeed be an issue with your game install. Also if you do all the steps lilsted above, and it says 'Trainer Activated' but you still cannot get the cheats to function, check if:

1. Your numlock key is on
2. The trainer actually says 'Activated' when you press a relevant number pad key.
3. Try manually clicking on the sliders on the trainer screen to turn them on that way.

If none of this is working see if it may be your Anti-Virus software, try disabling it temporarily and see if it works then. Next, have Steam verify the integrity of the game files as mentioned earlier. Failing that, uninstall the game and do a fresh game install and see if that's fixes the problem.

l can't give any other advice unfortunately. These are the same steps I would do if I was having an issue with the trainer, especially since so many other people have been using the trainer successfully.

Ok, this is a weird error I am getting. The trainer worked fine yesterday.

Restart your Aurora & game, just tested and trainer still works fine.

Can anybody tell me how to use the inventory editor? It keeps staying at zero when I move something in the upper left slot.
