If you do an SSL check on that domain everything comes back green so I don't know why McAfee would label it as "malicious" as they have no reason to. I would file a false positive report with McAfee and ask that they remove this from their blacklist. Obviously it's not all AVs and systems that have a problem with the URL or we would have THOUSANDS of people complaining that they couldn't update, including myself.

Oh trust me I know, McAfee is just dog ****. I trust y'all more than I do scummy Verizon anyway.

Hmm I don't think I have this option with my CenturyLink but I'm guessing that's what's happening here also. I know it's not my local AV and the only thing that changed was I moved and had to change ISP. Curious.

Yeh, in this new release we have changed download servers to one that they shouldn't have a problem with. So just download this version manually and then hopefully the next auto-update will be smooth.

Sorry for reviving this, but I was encountering the same issue with the SSL connection failure. I had downloaded direct from the site on 5/17, and trying today, 5/24, prompted the download failed.

Reading through this and some additional searching, I discovered that Centurylink has added a 'cyber security' feature to a lot of their modems. This feature (powered by McAfee) was interfering with the download. By going into the modem settings and disabling this 'cyber security' ""feature"", it resolved the issue and I was able to download the update direct from the app. I have attached a screen shot of where I found the setting, in case it will help anyone else.

Might be worth adding a blurb to the knowledge base about Verizon and Centurylink (as well as any other ISP that uses McAfee) blocking that download URL. Although here's hoping that your updated/changed URL will stick and they won't block it again.
