An option to go to previous page instead of going all the way back to the main menu of the trainers section, I don't see that it's possible, only that when I click the cross left of the trainer and try to go back it goes all the way back not just the previous page.

Unfortunately this is not possible, because unlike many other software such as Steam, Aurora is not displaying a website where each navigation is tracked and the scrolling position is remembered etc. On top of that a single page in Aurora may be displaying something different based on a previous action within the same page. In order to provide a full navigation experience, these actions have to be done backwards which is simply not trackable. You have to think about this like a web form where you enter stuff, tick on some boxes etc but if you hit refresh or go back and then forth, everything you previously selected or entered is gone.
