Did some snooping around and I didn't find anything related to the topic. My question concerns a possible(?) quality of life for everyone; yeah, CH team as well.
Has anyone @CH thought about placing a notice (tool tip/ mouse hover-over) feature for the "File Update Request" option, so that you're not getting spammed requests to update a trainer? I don't know if that's a necessary feature that you all want or need, having multiple people submit requests to update the same trainer.
It just occurred to me today as I sat here, chugging coffee, that it could potentially save all of us some time.
Ex. I cursor over the "File Update Request" link and a pop-up/ tool-tip tells me when the most recent submission was made; An update request placed on "x" day at "x" time.
I was thinking @CH wouldn't get spammed (if it even does that) or at the very least us end-users wouldn't have to waste time submitting an update request when one or more were already made.
Good idea? Bad idea? Not necessary/ wouldn't change anything?

There cannot be enough (valid) trainer update requests because not everyone is giving useful information on the description field and the more update requests a trainer suddenly has we know this one needs an update ASAP because a lot of people are waiting for it.
It's actually the invalid reports that costs us time but not much we can do about. Not every customer is a technical expert and understand why a trainer fails or why the game crashes and if it has or not has something to do with the trainer is being broken or not.

The number of update requests helps our trainer makers prioritize which updates to work on first. If a trainer has 40 requests and another has 25 requests, then we will work on the 40 first. If every trainer only had 3 requests then we wouldn't know which update to look at first and we typically have 10 or more per day.

@ 0x90: I've never submitted a request for an update due to 'x' trainer error, because I've never really had more than a couple over the past many, many years, not work. Now that I know that's (also) the place to do so, if I run into any trouble, I'll know where to go.
@PWizard: I figured it was already thought of and a process decided. Honestly, I figured the updates were done on how many hits a trainer request was given, but wasn't sure if there was a sort of cut-off period were more submissions were just redundant.
Thanks for both of your time taken to explain and subsequently update my understanding
