Isn't it illegal to remove a feature from a account type after people have paid for it?

It was not removed. Go to the trainer troubleshooting page and download as many offline keys as you'd like (Link}. They work just fine for all of the stand-alone trainers that we had at the time of your purchase. In regards to Aurora, this is a completely new product which requires a completely different type of offline key which was not included in your purchase as it was just released on March 1st. Hope that clears it up for you.

And to answer your question, it is not "illegal". And like PWizard said, this is a newer product anyway.
