Do you have Gsync or freesync enabled? This can cause a high GPU load
No, this was one of the first things I disabled cause I know they may cause issues. It had no change to GPU usage.
- So this only happens with Dying light 2?
- And only after you activated it on main menu?
- What if you activate the trainer and then switch to the home page?
- What if you activate the trainer and then close the trainer in Aurora?
- As far I have seen during my countless hours of trainer testing. Only this game and AC valhalla has done this so far. But valhalla only raised it to about 40-50% and everything was running fine on my pc
- No, as soon as the game loads the main menu. It goes up to 50%. When I hit active it goes down to about 15% then back up to 50%. This is regardless of it being active or not
- No change on doing that
- Also no change.
Both games run on DirectX12 I think, wonder if that matters. Could you change DX version on Dying Light to a different and see if that helps?
That did it. Thanks you so much. This has been bothering me for past 2 days
DX12 Raytracing - 50% GPU usage
DX12 - 30-35% GPU usage
DX11 - 3-5% GPU usage
