I have a fresh install of Windows 11 pro. When I try to run the Final Fantasy remake trainer (latest version) it says I need to download .net core. I have attempted to download and install both the 64 and x86 versions. I found another thread that said I need the .net foundation (which I have because I used windows installer to add .net 4.8) I also downloaded the Windows desktop runtime 5.0.4 x64 and x86 for .net. Nothing seems to work. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling x86 and 64bit.

Have all of the following installed.
.NET Core 3.1 Desktop Runtime x86 Link .NET Core 3.1 Desktop Runtime x64 Link .NET Core Current Runtime x86 Link .NET Core Current Runtime x64 Link .NET Framework (get latest) Link
(Both x86 and x64 of the .Net Core MUST be installed)
Reboot PC when done.

I've also tried compatibility mode, just for giggles I guess.

It needs version 3.1 (x64 and x32, runtime DESKTOP version). Any other version such as 5.0, or even just 3.1 runtime but not desktop, will not solve your issue.

That worked, thank you. I guess I was using the files that came up when it says "you don't have this installed click ok to go to download page" files.

The download page it redirects you to is confusing. There is already a developer support ticket for this on Microsoft bug tracker but they didn't started working on it yet.
Good news is that with AIO, there are no dependencies you have to install anymore. So it should be solved over the time either this or that way.
