Looks like the trainer might have an issue, put your findings in an update request so it can be looked into.
General reminder that posts with issues here and not update requests don't get looked at. Help yourselves and others by putting in that update request if the trainer is running into issues.
Please use the update notification system to report a game patch, update or to report that the trainer may not be working with the latest version of the game. If 3 or more reports have been filed, consider BOOSTING the priority of this title for a faster turnaround on the updated trainer.

It works fine here,try to temporarily disable your av and run the game along with aurora as admin.
Steam version of GTA3 worked fine with the Steam Trainer.
In Vice City the Steam trainer let crash the game with Fatal Error. So i have try the Rockstar version of the Trainer with Steam Vice City and it works.
Just if someone other have this issue, use the Rockstar Version, even you have the Game on Steam.

It happens after the Game loads. Pressing F1 in the Main Menü, starting the Game and before the Loading Screen ends it crashed.
When i start the Trainer with F1 in the Game after loading, it crashed to.
So its no Cheat Option.
I didnt try anything else (and i would never disable Windows Defender, but he has no Problem with Aurora), because i have tryed the Rockstar Version of the Trainer after that and it had worked with Steam.
EDITH: The Rockstar Trainer Version workes definitive with steam. Have startet the Game now again with the Trainer and all options work.
I didnt chance anything in the Game, like -12dx in the Start Options or something like that, because the Game workes without Issues until now.

Hi all,
Before asked I have lodged a Trainer Update request with the below but just seeing if anybody else has the same issue / has come upon a solution.
Game version of GTA 3 is 1.17.37984884.
Issue only encountered in GTA 3 not in Vice City or San Andreas.
Have attempted to reinstall the game with no luck.
When activating the trainer receive the below two errors:
dmg explosion (activation), Script error in line 1:Cannot find aob for 'original code_6281"
and
dmg explosion (activation), Script error in line 1:Cannot find aob for 'original code_3375"
If this is steam then probably the game has been updated.
