Far Cry 6 is available to play if using a vpn set to Japan. It will download a 12.66 GB day one patch.

yes but it's not like the others where if you change back you can still play. it's Geo-locked. which means you'd have to leave it in Japan in order to play it.

Not sure what I'm doing wrong but using NordVPN via Japan and New Zealand didn't do the trick for me. Maybe because I've installed the game without VPN active?

It should work the same as AC Valhalla where it was playable the day before with vpn then it would be playable in the correct zone(US) when it was released.

I use ProtonVPN (free version) which allows you to select Japan for free as well. I am able to play.

By chance I was dual booting and bought the uplay pass, rebooted to windows10 and the clock was wrong (well known dual boot issue), clicked play and it loaded 4 hours early for me. No vpn required.

I'm posting this for future use also- the old "change your clock" trick still seems to work in 2021. At least in this case.

True i used perfect privacy vpn to sydney.
But when i had to log in to cheat happens i did trigger a security alert 😂
