I can't seem to get the amount to change. Is there a specific way I'm supposed to use this cheat?

While on the item in your inventory, go to the option in the trainer and change the amount to what you want. Then click another input box in the trainer like the zinny box. The amount shown in your inventory won't change until you close the inventory, but the amount carried in the description of the item will, so change items and go back to the original item to make sure.
