    Hi all.

Just been doing a little testing and one thing to note about the egg editor. I just hatched a Bulldrome and noted the genes that it had, reloaded to make sure that the genes remained the same, then used the editor to change the egg into a Anjanath. Sadly, even after reloading twice to check, the Anjanath has the SAME genes as the Bulldrone. This was done a few times more to check, and I changed the smell type to "2" so as to make sure it was the best type.

Not sure if anyone has a work around for this, or maybe I'm missing a trick.

    Any thoughts?

    You're completely right.
And if you creat an egg out of nothing, the Monstie spawned won't have any genes at all, so you'll have to use the Channeling system.
Or this Trainer/Editor gets and "Gene Editor" option.

It indeed appears that both genes and stat increases are awarded to the Monstie, based on its type and rarity (smell), when you pick up its egg, so changing smell or type later has no effect other than the look of the egg and look of the Monstie.

This would explain why my starter dino monstie has significantly higher stats than all 4 of my cheated elder dragons at the same level.

edit: I think it affects attacks, too. My NPC helper has an ice monstie, and whenever it does an ice attack on a resistant enemy it says "Ineffective", but it doesn't say anything when I use my own ice dragon's ice-based kinship attack.

the stats/rarity/etc is probably rolled when you pick up the egg. I dunno about overworld abilities yet, my cheated monsties are all fliers and I don't think I'm at the point in the story where flying is unlocked yet.

I can confirm that overworld abilities work as they should, as well the basic attack element of the cheated monsties. Tested this with a Velkhana cheated from a Velcidrome egg. So it seems its just the genes and stat growth affected.

Using "Lead Montsie Stats out of Combat" to adjust a monsters level completely destroys XP scaling for that monster. Is there anyway to fix that?

    the game does this.

    set the level back low

no a trainer error, its a game mechanic.

When increasing level, you'll also have to increase XP accordingly.
Since there are no tables (that I know of) showing how much XP each level needs, you'll have to get creative. You can kind of see for a split second when a Monstie "levels up" how much XP he should have.
For example, when I set my Monstie at level 20, every time he "leveled up" (he didn't since XP was busted) I could see for a second the number "11180"; so I set XP to 11200 and that solved the problem.

I have come across a problem using the trainer. When using the super damage feature for both rider and monstie the damage falls to 0 or 1 damage. Do I activate it in-game on a specific manner like when I jump in on a battle or before I start battle? because both feature is not working properly for me. I activated the trainer and turned on the super damage option on the games main menu it doesn't work properly, I turned it on after I loaded it in the game it doesn't work properly.

I have a similar issue. Super Damage doesn't work at all for Rider or partner and usually reduces any damage you deal to 3. Super Damage for your monstie (Num 4) works for both your and your partner's monstie but only for basic attacks and non-elemental damage. So say Rathalos' speed/power/tech attacks do 9999 damage but if he were to use savage fireball, the damage is 3 again, no matter if the monster is weak/normal/strong against that element. Non elemental skills such as Nargacuga's killer tail and spike bomb still seem to work as intended though and hit a collective damage of 9999.
