Game patched yet again today. Honestly it's patching more than is listed here. If it breaks again, this game is likely going to be put on hold or retired.
Enjoy the trainer while you can, because when it breaks its a total redo and takes days. We may not go down that path yet again.

You just click on one the units in combat mode then use the option respectively.
I can't figure out how adding knowledge points works. I have 3 right now, but can't seem to add any more no matter what I do. Do I have to save and reload?

Are you seeing the number 3 on the editor part of the trainer?
If so you need to change that number and hit tab. That is the default button to "send" the info to the game.
