The trainer is great! Here are some issues that I've worked around..

If the trainer is active, Shep cannot board the Normandy once he's declared a Specter. Verified 3 times. Most all options active.

If you cannot get your OPTIONS screen to show up or inventory or objectives, then activate or deactivate 9 Mako indestructable then you should be able to get your MENUS back. Works every time.

At times, you are required to destroy certain objects inside a building. If 9 is active Mako indestructable then the object you are trying to destroy cannot be destroyed. Simply DEACTIVATE 9 and you can destroy the object.
