the game won't start and just keep looping when I launched it from steam

I have the Steam version of the game, and the game wont launch after replacing the EAC launcher with the modded one.

With the trainer closed, and just opening the game with the modded launcher, the game will crash.

I empty out the crash dump folder for the game on each crash, and also disabled the crash reporter by renaming the extension, so no report it sent.

No matter what I try, swapping back to the original EAC launcher, the game launches fine.


OS is Windows 20H2

I am sorry to ask but, I dont see the .exe i only see the .zip file, the text file with the instructions and the trainer itself with my download. can someone point me in the right direction to were to find the .exe in order to replace the one in the game dir. thanks

Are u launching the game with DX11 or Dx12?

Launching with DX11.

DX12 has been an instant crash since Day 1, which seems to be a widespread issue. I use the fix on reddit to force DX11 always

I experienced the same thing initially, being asked if you're launching it with DX11 or 12 may mean you have not launched the title but double clicking on the included .exe. Launching through steam didn't work or using the shortcut, gives a EAC error, but if you always run it from the Exe or from the Trainer itself, it launches fine.

I checked my game, and verified, then replaced the launcher with the included launcher with the trainer, and followed instructions here:

Game is still 1.02 HERE on steam, and trainer continues to work and is up to date.

Is use of the trainer and launcher causing the game to register anyone as a cheater? I only ask because I don't want to get banned from online play once it's fixed.
