i skimmed over the thread, but I might have missed something..
I wanna go back to play in coop.. so i am about to restore the initial eac file. Is there anything else I need to do, so I dont get flagged?
i hate to be the bearer of bad news.. but you already are flagged. their back end data pulls already knows, so you will only play with "branded" cheaters who want to play multiplayer, OR with direct invites from your friends list.. have fun!
The backend data tracks the god mode? Or do you mean the removed eac file?
because i didnt use stuff like legendary loot or the editor..
Is there any way to know for sure whether you are branded/flagged? or does using the trainer at all already mean that you are flagged?
And I can play with my friends right? So do I need to do something to avoid issues during those session? remove files somewhere?

Yes to the god mode, yes to the file verification checks (modded, edited or removed files = branded).
Yes, you will know if you get some pop-up saying something about a long wait time or something about non-priority? I think? unsure tbh, I am not a co-op guy, but in this thread a few have spoken about the pop-up.
From what i have read, at least for now, you can direct invite from your steam friends list to play, but trying to co-op with random people, you will only get the pool of folks who are "known cheaters" who want to co-op. This is from what I have read, and is as with everything, subject to change at any time. Good luck.
thanks!
i guess i got confused by something else I read earlier here.. something about getting flagged when using the trainer in multiplayer.. so i assumed it wasnt a given.
ah.. well I knew the "risks", just wanted to be sure and as long as I can still play with my friends I am good.
one last question: is there any risks for my friends to get into trouble when they play with a flagged/branded player?
I mean I am gonna purge everything trainer related before I coop with them but it would be akward if I get them banned or anything.
idk that answer, but they will not get banned. PCF has stated numerous times, they will not ban for the use of trainers or hacking (cheating) they will however institute some "watermark" at some point.. what this will look like and how intrusive it will be is yet unknown.
My suggestion? Be upfront with your friends, let them know you have used a trainer, and there may be a possibility they will be flagged if they play with you. Let them choose, at the end of the day, its just a game, not a decision on if they want to be your friend or not.
Thanks, I guess that is the best way to do it.
Again "one last question"(lol):
A watermark is basicly something telling the teammates that the marked person cheats or at some point cheated right?
I like that approch over banning. At the end of the day it is a pve game and people than can choose whether they want to play with the cheater. Kudos PCF.
The watermark is being implemented so people who have used trainers or anything similar, and broadcast using twitch or youtube etc., and are annotated as such. Your watermark is not visible to anybody else but you on your computer, unless it is captured via a captured card or broadcasted in anyway (screenshot etc.).

So in regards of your friends can invite you. I just want to verify. Can you just join on friends still. Also can friends just join on you?
