Hi I would liek to know if some people still use the trainer as of 2021 and if it's safe to avoid the VAC. Cause planning to get it since it was on sale. Thanks!

DO NOT USE IT IN MP, and you should be fine, or set Steam to offline mode, or even yank the cord out of your modem/router. I have had no issues over the years, but nothing is ever 100% without risk. I may be wrong but I thought at one point you could turn off VAC in one of the game's menu selections, but it's been quite a while since I played this.
