Hello, I would just like to bring something to your attention. the Force Cheats Trainer option on this trainer is being used maliciously to circumnavigate restrictions within the game that are designed by the game's developers to prevent players from joining dedicated servers and destroy other players' worlds. It circumnavigates the server admin within the game's ability to be the only person who has access to game-altering console commands. It is to my understanding, that this site takes a strong stance against making trainers for multiplayer games. And i understand that this may be a gray area. This specific option is directly affecting the multiplayer functionality of this game. I came here on behalf of the sanity of myself and the rest of the helpers on the Valheim discord to ask you to remove support for this option and this option only. we have over 20k individual reports of people using this specific option on a trainer to ruin other people's game experience. I understand that all of those instances are not because of this website's specific trainer. but removing support for this option in future versions would greatly reduce the potential for a person to easily access this function and use it maliciously. if this is the wrong place to post this, or this outreach is unwanted please delete my post.

We don't make trainers for online/multiplayer games. We make single player trainers. If the game developer didn't separate the code between the two that that is their fault and not ours as anyone with a basic memory editor could do what our trainer is doing. We never test or attempt to use our trainers in multiplayer, we assume the game devs have taken the proper precautions to store the values on the server side to prevent cheaters and trainers. That is our official stance on this matter.

This really is something that the game devs need to address and not us. We can't prevent other trainer makers or any joe with CoSMOS or CE from doing a simple memory edit to do exactly the same thing that the trainer is doing. You'd basically just be punishing us for doing something that multiple other sites like ours which I could name right now are doing and will continue to do. Taking out the big dog won't keep all the little dogs from becoming the same problem. We could also simply just release this trainer and it's source code for free on the internet for anyone and everyone to do as they pleased with it.

Does the trainer work on official game dev hosted game servers? That's what I would like to know.

In regards to your last sentence PWizard. (Sorry I don't know how to mention or @ people on here if you even can?) But Valheim doesn't have any official servers. Just single player, co-op in different forms like local-host, non-dedicated servers or player rented dedicated servers. Image attached is from the valheim faq. Also people are given the ability to ban people and to have dedicated server passwords so that only their friends can join...

OK then.... that's why they didn't separate out the single player from the multiplayer because there are no official servers. If you're having a problem on your server, only invite friends to play and/or ban cheaters.

If your running a dedicated server, be sure to utilize the:

Adminlist
bannedlist
permitedlist

found in C:\Users\usernamehere\AppData\LocalLow\IronGate\Valheim

That way you can deal with problem players quickly from in game with

help - Shows all the available server commands
kick [name/ip/userID] - Kicks the named user
ban [name/ip/userID] - Bans the named user
unban [ip/userID] - Unbans the named user
banned - Shows a full list of banned users
ping - Pings the server to measure latency.
lodbias [number] - Sets the draw distance for the server. The number can be set from 1 to 5.
info - Prints the current system information.

Command line cheat not working on the server I play on. That's good thing.

As above, the responsibility to have the admin whitelist correctly configured falls with the person who owns the server.

I just want to spawn in a damn bonfire, but I can't get the cheats to work on my service-hosted server. Anyone have any ideas that don't involve saving the server, and uploading the save?

You can get around this by spawning the resources you need into your inventory in an offline session, and then joining the multiplayer session. Your character and full inventory carry over across sessions.
