Hit F1 again after the trainer is activated and it frees up your joysticks without deactivating the trainer. Figured this out this morning.

This isn't an issue with the trainer, it's when you go from controller to keyboard and mouse, back to controller. It stops the sticks from working. Only way I've seen it fixed is by restarting the game.

my fix: switched to window mode, alt tab out & use mouse to activate the options, dont use the hot keys, then alt tab back to game, that way no keyboard keys were touch
