    With my rig (i9 9900k, rtx 2080 ti, 32gig of ram) i will get roughly 5-10 minutes of gameplay then bam! Crash to desktop. I look at the crash log and it says unknown gpu crash. I was running through the display port and I changed over to hdmi. I played about half an hour without issues. Still need to try for longer times to see if its stressing the gpu or not, but better results than before. I hate that people are having issues with the game crashing, but also happy its a known issue.

    Sounds like your DP port on your GPU is not good, there should be 2 of them, did you try the other port to see?

    Bear in mind if you try to play this on 4k with RTX on your GPU will overheat quickly, even on a 2080ti, if you have good cooling then you needn't worry, but if you rely on air cooling as per standard card you will hit the 80s easily in busy areas. Even on 1440p with RTX on fully it is quite harsh.

    Oh and Don't forget some tuts on ASM and defeating DMA

    I didn't think to try the other DP port! I'll definitely give that a shot. I only have a 1080p 60hz monitor, so definitely not chance for the 4k issues. Thansk for that though! Like someone previously stated, im glad this community is mature and helps everyone out! Ill give an update when I try the other DP port!

    Hi Jonathan,

    I actually can't get the game to load at all. From reading around the various boards there seems to be a problem after the initial cut scenes with the game using an AVX instruction on the CPU. Older CPUs don't have AVX instructions.

    Hi Zealousky,
    I have an old AMD-FX-8150 with 32 gigs of ram. It sounds like your nvidia settings need to be changed. I am looking at mine to see what's going on. In looking at the crash report, it states the following below. It appears that the Patch0Hotfix2 source code file for DirectX 12 causes the error. This definitely is a bug in the game!

    "Registered crash info file...
    InternalVersion: 3.0.3214677 P4CL: 4155897 Stream: //R6.Root/R6.Patch0Hotfix2
    !!!CRASHED!!!
    Error Reason: Assert
    Expression:
    Message: Gpu Crash for unknown reasons! Callstack here is probably irrelevant. Check if Breadcrumbs or Aftermath logged anything useful.
    File: e:\r6.patch0hotfix2\dev\src\common\gpuapi\src\dx12\gpuapidx12error.cpp
    Line: 40

    Mine just says unhandled exception. The game doesn't run at all let alone get into graphics. I hit play/double click the shortcut/launch the .exe and the next thing I get is the flatline message.

    Here is the start of the log...

    Version=1
    EventType=REDEngineErrorReport
    EventTime=0
    ReportIdentifier=ffffffff-ffffffff-00000001-00000000

    Sig[0].Value=0x0000000000000000
    Sig[1].Name=ErrorReason
    Sig[1].Value=Unhandled exception
    Sig[2].Name=InternalVersion

    So some of us have old CPU's, and they don't support AVX so the game crashes. I did find a work around (www.nexusmods.com/cyberpunk2077/mods/34) but the trainer dosn't work with it, can someone help with that? At least until CDPR gets an offical patch out.

    Thx

    You will need to rename the exe file it uses. To allow the trainer to work. Thread closed.
