The option works as intended. You can craft even if you don't have the components. No there is no way to fix this. We are making the game believe you have more than you have to allow the craft. The game thankfully lets you craft and doesn't crash. It will still perform normal functions like removing materials and whatnot. What "issues" this would create that wouldn't normally happen when you craft things I have no idea. The game is functioning normally it just allows you to craft when you didn't have some of the components.

Everyone running into issues like this need to understand how game scripting works.

1) a game scenario; a situation that has a specific set of stages, MUST be followed.
2) script triggers are set to trigger as certain events occur during the scenario.
3) using a trainer that "skips" these trigger points will cause the scenario events to never occur, so the scenario ends up in a condition that can never resolve via the scripts for that scenario.

NEVER use a trainer to skip event triggers. Thresholds such as enemy health value(s) are the most common trigger points used in scripting. Example: An enemy has a script(s) that will trigger when the enemy is at certain health levels. As each health level is crossed during combat the script will trigger certain events to occur. By skipping these script event branches the script will be "stuck", meaning each stage can never resolve.

The Chimera battle has several stages. You MUST progress through each stage during normal combat for the script(s) to fire correctly. An alternative is to use the Player Infinite Health trainer option to keep from dying during the fight.

Any Boss fight that has multiple stages depending on what the boss health value is typically has this requirement.

Hope that helps explain the 'why' it seemed broken. In a sense, yes it was broken, because you failed to allow the game to progress the scripted sequences as intended.

I put your save into my directory
I ran game
ran trainer
F1 at main menu
loaded your save
once in the game, I press I to open inventory
I can see your levels and experience upper left
I tab out to editor in trainer
shows 1 for level and 0 for experience for both LEVEL and STREET CRED
I changed levels to 9, and XP to 300 in editor.
alt tab back to game, press I again to get out of inventory, press I again to go back into inventory
BOOM both changed here.

Note I am running latest update of game WITH liberty DLC bought and ON STEAM. I do not own GOG, and if you don't own the DLC, then it's possible the data is stored differently but I cannot replicate your issue here. Why GOG would store differently I have no idea, except maybe it's not up to same release version.

noted your values (41), both values showed instantly in the trainer editor
edited them to 45 and 46 and changed the XP
press I to leave inventory
press I to come back to inventory
can plainly see the values took hold
trainer is working
cannot replicate your issue

Oh I wonder if it's because I've not bought the DLC yet. I'll load an earlier iteration of the trainer and see if that's true

Edit - Quit Aurora and quit the game, then relaunched into the previous version of the trainer. Still ?? but clearly it's working outside my system. I'll figure it out
