I see in the options that you can choose where to open the game from. I'm assuming that you can force the trainer to open through the xbox game pass version. But does anyone know how to do the file pathing to do this?
Any information on this would be helpful as I got the game for free through the game pass with all the dlc and I don't want to have to buy the steam version to make this trainer function.
Usually the .exe the trainer attaches to are are platform specific and may not work. And seeing how strict Windows is with its games, probably won't work even if you manage to get it to launch via steam. Changing the path won't change the .exe you will either need to get that version or request a Gamepass version of the trainer.
To submit a request for a new distribution platform, please use our trainer requests system. Once at least 5 people request the same distribution, it will be available for funding. Please do NOT use the trainer option request system to request new platforms as they will be denied. Premium members at any level may request a new distribution as long as it’s done through the normal request system.
So I actually did this in mid November. I requested a version of the trainer on Gamepass via the trainer requests, and got a message that my 100 credits were refunded because the request was denied. No reason was given as to the why that was the case. (The exact date of the message was November 18th.)
Is this the normal response until the 5 people have requested it on the same distribution platform? Or is this trainer not available for creation on Gamepass? (or did I do something wrong?)
Gamepass games are way harder to train due to all the security features Windows has along side them. If denied, then it was probably the security making the trainer not possible.
The game is not even finished, updates a lot and on every few patches most options got broken so I have to spend a lot of time just updating the trainer. And I receive tons of option requests for this and that for this game.
Maintaining a completely different trainer for the Game Pass version is simply not affordable. Game Pass version has completely different code, so I have to start from scratch to get all of these options the Steam version has.
Maybe... just maybe, if this game will ever be finished, I might take a look at the Game Pass version but from my experience I think it ends up like ARK. Broken, unfinished and even when it comes out of early access in several years, it still receives daily patches.
Cool. I understand that is a lot work. I appreciate the response and that seems entirely reasonable. I'm disappointed, but thems the breaks. Thank you for all the work that y'all do.

I make my on Trainers (Cheat Tables).
99% of all Addresses are the same for Steam & Windows Version, so making a second Table doesn't need much Time/Work, just change the Proccess Name.
Also the Game is completed (out of early access) and doesn't get that often Updates but they still work on it (they're doing it much better than most other devs).
Ofc everytime they release a big update they will also release a lot hotfixes in the coming weeks after the big update.
Also if you make the Trainer based on Offsets than it won't break with every Update/Hotfix
