I was playing an relatively old game when I realised the trainer's "maximum health" option only locks your health at the starting value, which get upgraded to about twice that value half way through the game. So in later half of the game, if you have the trainer on, your health never stays full so if enemies attack you with damage that goes beyond your starting health, you get one hit killed.
Of course I could request them to add that function, but seeing this is an old game, its most likely not going to get updated. So I'm wondering if there is a way I can modify existing trainers? I'm not that good at coding but I can read and understand code, so it would be unlikely for me to create a trainer from ground up but I can possibly modify a trainer if I can actually see the codes.

If the trainer does not have the option to set the amount for it, then the answer is sadly no.
