Mute Hotkeys:
-------------------------------------------------------
To temporarily disable the Hotkeys, press CTRL-H after trainer is
activated. You can use CTRL-H to re-activate the Hotkeys as well.
You can also mute specific hotkeys by changing the hotkey you want to mute to 'NONE'.


VR Mode
-------------------------------------------------------
HTC Vive
Click on the 'VR Mode' button. Trainer options will now be drawn as buttons. Activate the trainer as usual with your keyboard. Put your HTC Vive on and when you are ingame press the 'Menu' button on the hand controllers to open the steam overlay. At the bottom you can click on the 'Desktop' button and you can easily press options on the trainer with your hand controller now.

Oculus Rift
Click on the 'VR Mode' button. Trainer options will now be drawn as buttons. Open Oculus dashboard and click on 'Oculus Desktop', now press the buttons on the trainer to toggle the cheats.

This check is only performed on trainers that have been personalized for
individual use, not our PROMO or FREE trainers. If you want/need to use
the trainer offline, please go to our trainer troubleshooting page for
instructions on how to obtain an offline key to avoid online checks.

I'm not flagging this as a request for update, as I'm unclear if that is the case.

The page says that the current version supports "1.01.2020" which is actually the date that it was released, and is not a proper version number for the game itself. My currently updated game version is 1.1975, and the previous trainer version was for game version 1.1799

I am guessing the 1.01.2020 game version was just a bug/simple mistake adding the file to the database - but since I'm unable to get the trainer to work at the moment (gives all the normal "activated" messages, but has no actual impact) I wanted to check on the version issue before anything else.

Last change to game was DEC. 10th 2020, trainer was made JAN 1st 2021, so it should be up to date.

Reboot PC to clear excess memory, get a fresh copy of latest trainer and extract it. Run trainer as admin, read the instructions and try again. At times, a new game may be needed to resolve failed options if the data in your save file was altered. Use on a new game and test the option. If it now works, quit to main menu and load your save and try it again. May also need to run the game without the trainer first and play a bit so the save file gets updated to use possible new values.

Just wanting to verify that there wasn't some other issue or ramification to a typo like that (like some run-time comparison of version numbers stamped in the trainer and the game exe, etc).

As to the rest...

- deleted all files as indicated
- rebooted PC (not the first time while troubleshooting this)
- redownloaded the trainer (have only ever had the newest version, grabbed a new copy anyhow)
- ran trainer as admin (already doing that)
- reread instructions and was careful to follow them (both regarding loading, and under the notes section)
- regarding starting a new game / loading save game / etc: these comments do not pertain to this game - there is no "save/load" functionality in this game, you start a new game every time you run the program

All of that said: Fooling around with it more I realized a couple of things:

1) Some of the functionality is working, just not updating your display (ie, go to the Standard Projects screen and activate the option for adding 99 titanium... your display doesn't show that you have any titanium, but if you try to play a card that would allow you to spend titanium on it, you are able to do so - after spending some / causing a change in your amount of titanium, the display refreshes to show your new *modified* amount of titanium available.

2) While I was able to get the above to work for some settings, I was not able to get it to work for all settings - specifically power and heat. Neither one would be modified (neither the displayed value, nor the invisible "actual" value - ie, not able to spend/use either). Doing multiple things that impacted / caused refresh of power and heat values, including ending the generation and getting the income of both power and heat from the production phase, did not "reveal" any modified values of power and/or heat.


I've gone through multiple iterations, reboots, game-reloads, starting new game / going through a couple of generations, toggling settings off and on, etc. So far I've been unable to get power and/or heat to work in any instance.

Either report or submit a ticket, I don't have a copy to test.

I am using the Terraforming Mars Trainer (07.08.2021).

I have downloaded and installed .NET Core Runtime 3.1, 3.1.17, for x64 and x86.

I have
- disabled/uninstalled all antivirus, firewall and other security apps including browser add-ons and extensions.
- right-clicked "Run as Administrator" on the trainer and game.
- running the trainer, running the game, alt-tab to trainer and pressing F1 to activate and then alt-tab back to game to use options.

The Terraforming Mars I am running is the 1.3.11244 version, July 2021, information posted on Steam on Mon, July 12.

The current trainer is the only trainer I have had for Terraforming Mars.

Trainer came back with the following error.
12:44:21: Terraforming Mars, March 2021 Update (STEAM)
12:44:48: Successfully attached to TerraformingMars
12:44:52: Activation, Script error in line 10: The module name 'GameAssembly.dll' does not exist!

Is there any more information that you need?

Verify the games files via Steam and clean out any old trainer data.

Please delete the trainer, custom keys, debug folder where the trainer resides and all files in

C:\Users\USERNAMEHERE\AppData\Local\Temp
C:\Users\USERNAMEHERE\Cheathappens\Work
C:\Users\USERNAMEHERE\AppData\Roaming\Cheat Happens\0x90
C:\ProgramData\CheatHappens
