on the first mission whenever i try to transfer the steel, the game crashes with the trainer active. what is going on?

Try to activate the trainer after you have done that, maybe that will work.

when i drop off the steel and then activate the trainer, the game immediately crashes. i then try the second mission with the trainer active, but when i click my warehouse, the game crashes.

i use uplay complete edition

Try trainer #2 for Steam on your Uplay version, it may be old enough title the exe's are still the same, see if that one works.
