I just re-installed this update, and now things seem to work as they should. Like something ****ed up its first installation somehow, and in turn have the side effect of trainers not working properly.
For the rest, I changed nothing, no AV detection or anything out of order there. White listed as always, nothing quarantined etc.
Just this damn windows update.

My windows update corrupted the .NET cores and could possibly bug the framework. Try re-installing all of them
(Both of the Net-Core MUST be installed x86 and x64)

I just ran into this problem. Unpack a trainer, go to run it and it not only doesn't start, it is deleted. After reading the posts on this thread, I looked for Bitdefender but don't have it. I do have Malwarebytes and it just went through an update yesterday, so I added the folders the trainers are in to Malwarebytes "Allow" list and now they work.
