Sorry you dont understand.I have the same Probs like the first post but i dont use any anti virus software. The Problem is Steam Update.
Vakmix understood, he suggested If you have no antivirus software installed besides Defender, that it was possible another 3rd party app was blocking your trainers and to try turning off unnecessary applications one-by-one to see if one might be stopping the trainers working properly.

When i start a game with Origin Client on the same Computer i have no problems. All Trainer works.
When I start Steam Client all Trainer for all Games don`t work.
It`s definitly no virus Prob.
completely remove and re-install Steam. Set Steam properties to run as admin.

I had the same problem just now, I installed 3 windows updated today, ever since, a trainer would only open once to never ever open again after closing it.
Uninstalled the first update, restarted, trainers work as normal again.
For me the culprit was KB4586781, Security update for Microsoft Windows // Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 20h2 for X64-based systems.

Make sure all the needed exclusions are still in place.
Trainer.exe and/or the whole folder it's in.
C:\Users\USERNAMEHERE\Cheathappens\Work
and the game main directories if using a custom CH launcher.
