Trainer works but stats don't update or show properly in the trainer
Trainer working as intended. We will look at this game more later today. please read the instructions on how options work and how to best use them. The stats was something I tried to isolate and give people a way to sort of use SUPER DAMAGE by modifying the stats temporarily. There is other ways to do this, but I am wary to post an option that does this since people won't read how to properly use it and may activate it or leave on when enemy is using it and then their character is one shot killed by super powerful enemies.
The stats, when you modify them in the editor, are the REAL stats being used by the game AT THE TIME. The stats shown in the CHARACTER MENU are a COPY of the value of the real stats. The editor will NOT make those change, nor with they update when you update the REAL CURRENT stats. The modifications are TEMPORARY at best. Also, the stats, if showing ??? will NOT show your stats in combat so it's best to make the change to the value BEFORE You enter combat.
Again, you may have to do something to trigger the code that the editor intercepts for the values to show. Like drop item and pick it up, or some other thing. Likely if there is no cutscene, then the temp stats remain current until that happens.
I have no other suggestions.
I can add more or look into this later today to try and give you some more stuff, but this game is a big mess to try and work with.

This is not a complaint, but the trainer attributes function does not appear to work, but I am running the GOG version. The edit picked up item amount option does work, and that alone is worth a download. I hope at some point a character editor will be added in the future that allows permanent edits to strength, intelligence, dexterity, etc etc. Good start!
The "stats" once you are in the game are stored in multiple places, multiple copies, and for multiple reasons. The game uses functions that are shared by a lot of things to copy things over and etc. Unfortunately, for now, and I spent a LOT of time trying to do this, and a lot of avenues, there is likely no "stats" editor coming. There is probably a "way" to do that, given unlimited time to work, but I have a zillion other titles and updates to contend with. I spent about 8 hours straight on this title to give you what we have, and that's with working through this engine which isn't the simplest to work with.
In short, I expect to see 100 option requests, but likely 99.9% of them just aren't doable, and I've probably tried to do many of the requests already. More will likely come for this trainer, but with it being in EA and I have other titles to work on, and the fact it's not a simple engine to divine data out of, we aren't able to do a lot of what is requested.
A SAVEGAME EDITOR is probably what would be best for this (editing the stats and weapons and attributes, and etc.), but there is going to take time for people to decipher that data, if at all. Trying to do this LIVE in memory is a harder nut to crack.

I tried to add max abilities when starting a new character. But unfortunately with my limited editing skills, the game won't let me continue after maxing the abilities on the character creation screen.
Before officially asking for a new option, I'll just ask first here. Have you already tried to get it working or if it even is possible to get it working to get past the character creation screen with maxed stats?
i tried the same, the way i got it to work was to find the value of the amount of points you put into the stats, not the actual value of the stat, then set that to a high number. When i got past teh character creator i had high stats, sadly they were maxxed at 30 for each stat, nice, but would like higher. I will try adjusting the stats in different ways.
Hey, I'm curious if you could explain further what you mean.
When I tried to modify the amount of points put into a stat (say the 5 points I put into Str to 20 points) it instantly messed up the game and would not let me "Venture Forth".
How did you manage to get high stats and get into the game ?
Do not change anything so that the changes are visable when you continue your stats will be higher but it can break things.

Hey Grumble,
Sorry but you lost me, do you mean find all the various point values, then update them in CosMos and proceed, before the game "notices" you have changed it ? or how ??
