Hi. I have the Epic Version of this that is going over Origin to play it. When i want to install the Launcher Exe File it tells me a Error 0x80004005: unknown Error.
I cut the Original File and saved it on another harddisc and try to copy your file there where you need to have it...is there a fix ?
Nevermind get it to work...but look out EA is still there and the Anti Cheat Tool...I made a Game against AI to get a few points to arm Proton Torpedos which cost One Point and it cut me from Online even if i play against KI with Computer Pals...and no online friends...

if you use the trainer and the exe launcher they supply then the only way you can play with friends is dont use the trainer, delete the exe file in your origin or steam folder and then verify game files it will redownload the proper exe file and you will be able to play online again, but of course if you want to use the trainer again you will have to go through the process again. I used the trainer for the story then verified my files and I can play online again (Im not using the trainer)
I purchased this on Steam and starwarssquadrons_launcher.exe does not exist on my system the C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games folder is empty, please help, thanks.
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\StarWars Squadrons
Is it there?
I forgot to include your quote in my other post.
Yes, if you purchase this through Steam, you (obviously) have to look in the steamapps folder.
Regarding the options:
- Option 1: It is working, but it looks like there are certain scripted events which are overriding it. For me it was the 'missile evasion mini-tutorial' part during mission 1. A missile is fired at you which will kill you no matter what, unless you manage to evade it (i.e. complete the mini-tutorial). I had no issues with other missiles after that. If you die while using this option, see if this is happening.
- Option 2: Working as intended.
- Option 3: Not Working as intended.
- Option 5: Working as intended even though the ****pit instruments do not reflect this. This may be a good thing though, because it might break the game since they decided to force those stupid non-skippable mini-tutorials on you where you have to press a key to continue the game.
I haven't tried the other options...
I found option 1&3 are not working.

Reboot PC to clear excess memory, get a fresh copy of latest trainer and extract it. Run trainer as admin, read the instructions and try again. At times, a new game may be needed to resolve failed options if the data in your save file was altered. Use on a new game and test the option. If it now works, quit to main menu and load your save and try it again.
It seems my initial comment was wrong. I just had another missile kill me and this didn't seem to be any scripted event. For some reason, some missiles seem to get through and still kill players. I've tried the above list three times to make sure, but it's still happening (and the infinite missiles never works). Is it possible the game received another update? I didn't see it though (I have everything on auto-update)...

I tried again, only option 3 is not working for some reason.
I deleted those files indicated above, and tested it in the game's practice mode.

Yeah having the same issues as well even tried the suggestion of deleting the trainer and all the files and redownloading followed step by step and still kept dying and running out of missiles. I think unlimited shields would've been better if even possible and yes I would request it but I don't have lifetime plus and not exactly made of money to get it either (used a gift card from last christmas to get this game).
Anyhow sadly until there's either a fix or someone with lifetime plus requests an unlimited shields option if even possible to do I'll be shelving this game otherwise I would've refund but I already been over the two hour limit.
