I have a PS5 on back order from Wal-Mart, so that might be secured in a few days or a loss. Had to shell out to get the disc version as the digital was all sold out. Anyone else fair any better?

no luck myself but my friend has managed to get one secured from game guess I will have to wait for the 2nd wave of orders.
But I think the disk verison is the way to go yep its more costly but digital they will control the price with disk's you can take advantage of sales or pre-owned games. I suspect long term you will more than save $100.

You make some good points my friend. Might actually get the disc one now. I rarely if ever buy physical, but having the option to watch movies or get a physical game might be wise. I cancelled my order with Wal-mart and will just wait for the second wave to come in. Don't need the headache of the current frustrating pre-order madness. 😐

No. Looks like I will have to rely on walking into a store on day 1 and hoping for the best. I was able to do that with the Nintendo Switch so hopefully I can go 2 for 2.
Your bitterness, I will dispel

I will see around holiday times if either system is worth my investment. Nothing really pushing me to get one atm.
