Unfortunately it doesn't seem to work. Fails with the same error message as before.

I was getting the same error as well, but then I uninstalled the old one and reinstalled this new one and it works again.
New issue - the newest trainer loads and the individual options I have tried work, but if I try to defeat a mon (instead of capture it) the moment the opponent dies/faints, the game crashes. I've recreated the issue 5 times now in different battles and using different mons. I've also tried turning off all options in the trainer (so just the trainer itself is on) and it still crashes.
I am also exp this same thing. Enemy mon dies, game crashes with trainer on (options on Infinite health, stam, easy capture and unlimited item). 🙁
I think this is an issue with some kind of clash with the saved game and the trainer. I managed to get around this by not activating anything at 1st, winning 1 battle trainer free then activating the options. Worked fine for me after that. The trainer is often twitchy when 1st loading from a saved game. Start it slow.

Does this mean starting a new game might fix the crash I'm getting? I'm very early on in this save file, but it was created before the "exp share" patch, so I wouldn't mind starting over now, but if you don't think it will actually help, then obviously, I don't want to if I don't have to.
Didn't crash when playing in offline mode, though, oddly.
