I mean, all the other version came out today with their update for the latest patch. I don't see any reason why the Steam version need a complete separate update request when they already did it for all the other version

Did the trainer(s) get mislabeled? The new one is named for all versions, however it behaves as if attempting to use the gog version on the steam game; it will activate but then crash your system if you do anything.
Sorry for the slow reply, it takes a while to get back online after reboot/crash with this garbage internet.
Anyway, I went through that instructions, deleted 568 files, created a clean gamesave, and started a new game. Still has the same problems: if a gun is reloaded or if a grenade / slot item is equipped it will crash.
Do you want me to go ahead and submit a Report? I'm apprehensive of doing so because a ton of people appear to have downloaded the trainer, but only two of us seem to be having problems.
You could just ask Caliber, and post your save as well in case he wants to see it. And say what platform your game is for and the path to where that save goes.
