Is there a way to unlock the chapter-specific dresses (Steamdress, Silk Maiden, etc.) from the beginning, without starting a New Game+?

Although each chapter-specific dress is unlocked by completing the corresponding chapter, these dresses only gain their special abilities in a New Game+.

But this creates problems: For instance, the Steamdress and Silk Maiden dresses, in a New Game+, allow you to gain more Teeth. But in a New Game+, you start with all the Teeth from the previous play-through, thus nullifying the usefulness of the dresses.

Another way to solve this problem would be to start New Game+, and use a cheat to delete all my Teeth from my saved game profile, but I don’t see a way to do that either.

BTW, I bought my digital copy from Game Stop and play it through Origin, not Steam. I have been examining the .ini files in AliceGame/Config, but I don’t see any way to do what I want.

Maybe you can rename your old saved games (C:\Users\Username\Documents\My Games\Alice Madness Returns\AliceGame\CheckPoint).
Thus they won't interfere with your dresses and game play 🙂
