Had a chance to test it. The CTD is still occurring with the Windows Store version, and it is always when it transitions through the splash screen.
The steps that I have taken:
- Uninstalled Dungeons and reinstalled
- Tried a new/clean hero
- Deleted all trainers and redownloaded the latest.
On the off chance that the "report crash" screen does appears, it has only appears twice, I have attempted to locate the folder claimed to hold the dump files, but nothing is being created even within the repository directory.
Might this be a "feature" added by Mojang/Microsoft to disrupt the use of trainers?
No idea.. Can't replicate and I've isolated as much as possible

Just adding that I'm having the exact same issue, and have tried all the suggested troubleshooting steps. Game crashes to desktop. Also, I noticed that a few days ago the Green Gems could be edited, but now since the crashing started they show as ?? in the editor and will not populate. If I try to edit it immediately crashes to desktop. Could it be that they put out a "stealth patch" or hotfix and didn't increment the build number?
Trainer works for me but the game crashes to my desktop whenever I complete a level or whenever I decide to go to the main menu. Anythoughts on the matter?
Same. This is obviously real and pertains to a specific set of circumstances common to a small subset of people. Some other software (antivirus?) we have installed in common or update/addon to windows or something. Wish I knew what it was but not enough time to troubleshoot VS just playing a different game. Gaming time is limited, have mouths to feed HA.
