I wouldn't be surprised if a cure for this pandemic becomes available in the near future, while the virus is dangerous and highly contagious, the News does push the fear of it way over the top.
There won't be a 'cure' for the virus because when a virus mutates, the vaccine they make will be rendered useless, and this virus has already mutated at least once. In short, a working vaccine won't guarantee immunity as long as people keep infecting each other, spreading the virus because "I don't think it's that dangerous!", and if it mutates, it'll become even more resillient (As well as potentially more lethal) than the previous version and a new vaccine will be even harder to make.
This is the problem with a pandemic such as this one. A lot of people doesn't take it seriously enough, and that is why more and more are getting infected and spread the virus, which again leads to more casualties.
There's no conspiracy, there's no agenda to be had. It's a pandemic and the evidence of it's severity is all around us.
