It's not even out of early access.
There is always reasons.
one of the reasons, you probably just said out loud but don't even realize. It's STILL in early access for 3+ years.
This means likely the game is/was an undeveloped, broken, repeatedly patching mess that broke the trainer (if one was even attempted), and in my experience when unknown developers who have no idea what they are doing are making games that take 3 years and are still comically in early access, it means they are learning how to code a game while they have you pay for the priviledge of sending them all the bugs, ideas, problems, and whatnot.
We don't have time for that, especially for a low budget, unknown, unfinished, and frankly likely going to be patching incessantly.
maybe the game is a hit. I never heard of it. The game page still says the game is in alpha (probably not) but that shows you they haven't even updated the store page to tell you it's going to release full (maybe) in mid April.
There seems to be some confusion about what is offline or online, so maybe they also had an online requirement, and saved items online back then. Likely the game at the beginning and for a long time required internet connection to play and stored stuff on server.
Other issues, game runs multiple .exe's.. generally this means emulation and/or bs write to disk live problems (i.e. data isn't in memory long, its read write to a file)
I don't even remember if I was the one who looked at it and retired it.
take your pick, that's whats up with this game
best,
