Could be your save is already in an altered state, may need to try on a new game first or play with no trainer let the save update and then try trainer. Also could be a conflicting DLC, try it just on the base game, go to manage my DLC and uncheck them.

Yes, I did that too when I read your post above. Same error everytime.
File a quick report and I'll see about getting the testers to look at it, I need at least 2 reports filed for it to show up on the list.

Do i need to be lifetime plus to ask for a DLC trainer for the trunks?
Is it not working currently? I have not gotten to the DLC yet.
