Good day,
this still happens for me. using windows 10 Enterprise build 2004
Had both versions of the desktop runtimes installed.
here are the eventlog details:
Faulting application name: ~ CheathappensTrainer3418.tmp, version: 0.0.0.0, timestamp: 0x5d388e01
Faulting module name: ntdll.dll, version: 10.0.19041.207, timestamp: 0xcad89ab4
Exception code: 0xc0000374
Error offset: 0x00000000000fdec9
Faulting process id: 0x3adc
Faulting application start time: 0x01d64c92f5c2a8c4
That looks more like your AV, firewall or other security software interfering with it. Either that or not running the trainer as admin. That's not a .NET issue.
Ok so just as it came to not working it now works again for some reason and all it took was leaving the PC running for half a day alone. No significant event, no updates, no nothing.
The ways of Windows are inscrutable.😑
Greeeeat. lol. I am having the same issues with the Steam Lightning Returns trainer. I was working yesterday, and there hasn't been anything that has changed on my PC in the last 24 hours.
Sounds like a 'ghost in the machine' situation to me.
I keep opening the trainer, and sometimes I will only get the splash screen for a second; other times the trainer will open all the way. But once I fire up the game, the trainer closes 100% of the time.
Hoping if I just let it sit like you, the situation will fix itself. Makes as much sense as anything...😡
