The only thing you can re-install is the .net cores, framework is an OS component and I'm pretty sure any updates along with it are "in place" and can't be removed either.

You could try uninstalling everything that says .NET core and re-install them (from control panel)

Windows 8/8.1/10

From the desktop, press the Win+X hotkey combination and from the menu select Command Prompt (Admin).
Click Yes on the User Account Control (UAC) prompt that appears, and once the blinking cursor appears, type SFC /scannow and press the Enter key.
System File Checker starts and checks the integrity of system files.

Or it may be time to do a complete system re-install, I do this at least once a year.

For me i get the splash screen , The main window shows up .. status shows to game not running and then the trainer just crashes for no reason ...

Seems now to happen to all the trainers

p7 hints to access violation error ?

What I found out is that the CheathappensTrainer2893.tmp file gets treated like a virus by windows 10 Virus & thread protection.
Mine was Assassins Creed Origins Trainer that gets blocked and would not run.
So was looking in Virus & thread protection of windows 10 and the I found out the file ~CheathappensTrainer2893.tmp was blocked now I have allowed the file and it works again!! maybe useful to you or someone else.

I am having this problem. I open any of the recent trainers, see the splash screen, and the nothing.

I have downloaded all 3 links that are provided here and no change. To be fully sure I uninstalled MSI afterburner, nvidia drivers, my antivirus, and every other program that runs in the background and I still can not get the trainers to load. My system is completely up to date and even in safe mode the trainers will not open.

Just to add to this, the black mesa trainer that WAS working last week is now no longer working either.

Okay so I have it working now and for anyone else this is what I did. No idea if it's all necessary but this is what I finally did.

1) Uninstalled every single thing with .net in it that I could find via the control panel uninstall programs.
2) Reboot computer. Then shut off computer, unplug from power for 60 seconds.
3) Boot back up run sfc /scannow then reboot
4) Uninstall the 3 .net files linked here. Rebooted, but trainers did not work.
5) Uninstall .net 5.0 preview files, reboot again. For me trainers still did not work.
6) ran sfc /scannow again and another reboot.
7) Trainers working.

Again, no idea if all of this was necessary but this is what finally got things working again for me so sharing for others. Might simply be some newer update to Windows 10 breaking the .net install requiring multiple reboots and file system repairs. No idea but just glad things are working.

so tried again today with the secret of mana trainer ... Crashed again .. but it got an error report saying the following


Invalid Memory access --> Error#2121

i tried several thinks including disable windows defender .. nothing worked also not the other walk arounds
