Wow, just wow. The state of this game is kinda beyond belief. As someone who vividly remembers the launch of RAGE on PC, this is on a whole other level! Even IF I get the game to launch, which is no small feat in and of itself, the game has more bugs than most Ubisoft ports! That's also assuming that the game stays running, as crashes are more frequent than cutscenes! Fun fact: this game's trainer is the only one I've EVER had from this website cause problems with my antivirus (I'm not bashing the trainer, I'm bashing the game). I must say however this whole experience has reminded me of a couple of things I haven't dealt with in years! First, having a game crash so hard it causes Windows to restart! And second, mouse pointer trails (FYI: it's a temporary fix for not having the cursor on screen at all times). Sorry for the long winded rant but I feel like I just needed to vent.

Would you guys mind posting a few basic details about the setup you're playing on?
Like Windows version, Antivirus product, cpu, gpu, SSD or HDD, and where you bought the game?
Thanks.

If you're trying to humble me, it worked. I've had cars that cost less than that. 😉 Nice rig, man.
Are you having crashing problems with the game? Which antiVirus and where did you buy the game? Thanks.

Thought I would post something that helped me out tremendously. I went to my Documents folder then to the Rockstar folder and deleted the whole Red dead redemption 2 folder and then my game launched Flawlessly. I hope this helps

My main issues are this:
The pause menu glitches out, and pops in and out... The Xbox Controller scheme isn't properly being displayed when I'm using that setup. (Right now I'm using a hybrid config, both when needed) The menu doesn't flake out as much when using the ESC key, it's like Rockstar did ZERO QA testing on Xbox controllers. I played the game on PS4 first so my brain is used to controller layouts. I do like the precsion the mouse brings, but I like the ease of use of the dual joysticks. I've had no game breaking bugs (knock on wood) so i can't say what the OP is exeriencing is happening to a large enough group of people. If I were the OP I would submit a request for help to Rockstar so they could actually trouble shoot his issues, just posting on here isn't gonna solve the underlying issue.

well any issues are due to your own setup , me along with many others are experiencing the game with no issues whatsoever.
check drivers , windows 10 update version , permissions , etc. its all you can do,.
