Just figured I'd let people know that you can use cosmos to increase your attributes and skills to the 40 cap at creation, I found out how by poking around a bit with the google.

For attributes, the value ranges from 548-552 (548 if you've decreased it below the standard value to 552 at 3 points spent to increase it to max) BUT you also have to set another adress of 0-4 (-1 to +3, same as above) for it to stick. Once you've found all values, spend all points and set everything to 552 and 4 to have it stick.

For the skills, it tracks skill points used, so use both, search for 2, remove 1, search for 1 etc. Once you've found the value you can max all of them out, allowing you to start off with 40 on everything.

You can also do the same thing when you level up BUT you may not recieve skills next time you level up if you do, so if you want an advantage, I'd suggest just sticking with starting out with everything at 40 and going from there, unless you just want to cap out everything as soon as you level that is.

    Edit:
Also I had difficulty editing armor/weapon parts or boosting any other inventory item value. HOWEVER you can edit your bits (cash), int16, then go to a shop and edit their inventory numbers. Boost up your bits, then edit the number of whatever you want to buy to the number you want, close and reopen the shop menu, and presto.

If you're using cosmos beginner, just search for whatever value your bits are, change them somehow by buying something or looting more, then search for the new value until you're down to just 1 or a few, then change them one by one until you find the correct one, don't forget to set any wrong adresses back to whatever value they had to avoid potential weirdness.

Can you elaborate a bit more specifically how to do this? Specifically what values to search for and when, and then what exactly to set them to? Your explanation of the attributes is very unclear and makes no sense as to how I would set 2 values for one address? For the skills, if it tracks points used, how do I max those out/get more, do I set the value to a negative number? Assume I'm an idiot in need of clear step-by-step instructions. Thanks

When you're in the character creation screen, put 3 points into whatever attribute you want to edit.
Then search for int16 with a value of 552, lower it by 1, search for 551. Keep doing this up and down until you have 1 adress.
Once you have it, set it back to standard, start a new search for 1, then increase it by 1 step and search for 2. You can do this up and down until you find the value. If it's lowered by 1 from standard, search for 0, if it's maxed out search for 4. So you could start out with it maxed, search for 4, lower it by 1, search for 3 etc. Do this until you are down to 1 adress.

Once that's done, set both down to standard so that you get back the points you spent, go into cosmos and edit the 2 adresses you found to 552 and 4 respectivly. Once you move on to the skills screen, you will see that you have the bonus increase that comes with a maxed out value.

You can do this for all attributes, then make sure you've spent all the points. youcan do that by using cosmos to edit up all attributes but 2, then max out those two with the points you have.

For skillpoints, you just use both points, then search for int16 value of 2. Unclick one of the skills, search for 1. Do this until you have 1 adress.

Once you have the adress, you can reset it to 0, and get back both skillpoints you used, letting you increase 2 more. Do this until you've increased all of them and have 0 skillpoints remaining, then move on to the next screen. Doing this to all attributes and skillpoints lets you start off with 40 to all skills. Hope that clarified it a bit. If you're using cosmos in beginner mode it's easier, no need to worry about int16, bytes etc etc, just search for the numbers as I explained above, and remember ot add the adress to your cheat table once you're down to just 1 adress in the search list.

So Cosmos only works at the character creation screen?
I'm at the end of Gorgon DLC and I need to up my persuade skills by another 40 points (currently have 111 with allocated points + companions + armour mods.

I don't have any skill point to spend.
