@Welce: That is not being said. Sometimes Windows Store games code is completely different than on any other platform. This makes it a pain for us to work on requests. Sometimes we need to access Windows Store game files which we cannot because MS restricted the folder access. And, before the Game Pass app, there has been a lot of issues with patching games etc. so we had to reinstall the entire games every time it has been updated which was no fun on games with 70gb size.
But other times, the Windows Store version is completely identical to the version elsewhere and making a trainer for it is the same work and porting a trainer to it is super easy.
We didn't said no to windows store version. We only said what platform we prefer to reduce the chance of running into issues for us, to the minimum. For you as a trainer consumer you can either be safe and secure and buy it from the same platform or wait and see if the trainer works and if not, fill up a request for it.
Fingers crossed that this is a completely identical case.
Game Pass all the way.
Cheaper.
You get other games along with the pass.
Etc etc.
Haven't bought a single game on the Epic store and never plan to (unless they stop with their anti-consumer exclusives.) I'll buy on Steam down the road most likely if I don't still have a Game Pass sub active at that time.
"Game Pass all the way."
Except that the process of WORKING on games that are running in the microsoft store app space can be a super pain. Not to mention we have no idea if anticheats or kernel mod programs are going to be a thing with this title.
So, with that said, it's likely going to be EPIC, or if the game comes out earlier somewhere else, then THAT.
best,
Cal
I wasn't trying to say what you guys should do or to imply it's simple on the MS store (quite the contrary I HATE how MS is handling DRM for their games and apps and forcing them into these restricted buckets). I definitely understand your pain.
I'm torn because I really really love the work you guys do so much so that I may not even buy a game if I can't get one of your trainers for it (ie I haven't played Monster Hunter since it was dropped) but I also refuse to buy from Epic until they change their market practices.
Gamepass is a great way to try a game on the cheap. So planning to start there.
If you guys can only release a trainer for the Epic version of the game... I'll likely end up buying that but I'm just hoping I wont' have to. Maybe the stars will align
Cheers.

I didn't know the Epic store didn't have preload. Yet another feature it's lacking.
