I liked Wildlands, but was put off by the RPG levelled loot of breakpoint. I don't mind a character level as such, but I can't be bothered with constantly changing a load out just to raise my gear level.

I'm not going to "buy" it per se, but I AM going to sub through Uplay+ for a few months to play through the campaign of this game and a few others (prioritizing Uplay+ games to get the most value for my money).
I didn't like that the beta was so limited. I played the first round of beta and it stopped at the docks or whatever and that was the end of the beta so I quit then and said I'll wait till release. I didn't play the second round of Beta but I think I'll get early access to the release.
I'm mostly playing it for the story. Once I've beat the single player portion I'll stop, as I have no interest in multiplayer.
The only thing making this game enjoyable to me is the trainer. During beta I attracted the attention of a drone and would have surely been dead without infinite health. Then the vast amounts of land you have to cover is ridiculous IMO and so I was using the teleport to waypoint option to get around quick.

Using Uplay+ to play the game. Like others mentioned, I would rather pay the $14.99 and play the solo stuff than buy at full price.
Maybe when it gets a huge sale (maybe around the holidays) I'll look at buying it.

Not many people buy games today because companies are in the market trend of rentals of their IP.This started long time ago with movies and now is coming to the entire entertainment industries.As investor I'm happy they catching up to markets trend, and as a customer I don't see why should you buy it when they renting with dlc for the price and plenty of games are coming and is going to sit over there once you get bored your money will be stuck in something you don't use/play no more. If you want to buy, buy from those that offer discount sales from ebay for cdkeys, etc.... or wait for cyber Monday or 6-12 month passed.
Their sales are in garbage, they missed expectation from sales of the game, and in game sales, so wait for discount, don't be stupid and impulsive, your wallet will thank you.

@possi
That's why you get the trainer. Most is "catching up" with weapons and stuff, the rest is just aesthetic.Today though most of mainstream companies are greedy as never been, they try to squeeze every corner. This is model that many are relying plus forcing own politics in games.Remember how EA got slapped in EU for implementing casino sale models to minors? That's should tell you where the mainstream studios are, nothing is off limit to them.
