I just tried to download the most recent Stellaris trainer. Google Chrome blocked the download with a warning that says "This file is not commonly downloaded and may be dangerous." Along with an option to either discard the download or keep it.
I clicked the "keep" option and yet another little popup appeared saying "Keep file? Even if you have downloaded files from this site before, the site may be temporarily unsafe (hacked). Try downloading this file later." And then another option to cancel the download or keep anyways.
I have been on this site and using Chrome for like a decade and never seen this before, is this a false positive of some sort on Chrome's part or did something happen?
Thanks

Hi there,
Chrome likes to act like an Antivirus software as well sometimes.
I did experience what you did and yet here I am, without any viruses on my computer. Since a trainer modifies the memory of the program, of course it is suspicious for even Chrome, I don't believe there is anything irregular about it.
Also, I only experienced the same like 1 or maybe 2 times. Don't worry about it. 🙂

Yeah this has been an issue for a couple of months. Chrome appears to not want to change this so far. But there is no need to worry

My issues come after i DL any trainer; my security software - F-Secure by Spectrum - used to give me fits, as it would disable trainers the instant I ran them; even listing the parent directories for trainers didn't work, each trainer has to be entered manually into the exclusion category, and then re-downlaoded; but once that was done it allowed the trainers to work. I use Firefox and have never had any issues with them and these trainers. I will say that I mounted a long protest with F-Secure a couple of years ago and they were very helpful and made some changes after we exchanged some emails about this site; the changes they made to their exclusion system work well now; sometimes a trainer will require two entries, the trainer directory and the User/listing for accessing it, but it all works well in the end. Chrome has some issues of control and access that led me to stay with FF. Good luck!
