So what's the policy on trainers getting updated to current Beta? Do we report if it doesn't work with Beta or do we have to wait until full release until we can ask for update on trainer?
Not sure what you mean by Beta? the game is already released? but if you mean beta testing branches then no, wait for the actual update to release.
The option for set the character trait values seems to be bugged. When i edit one character, even if i do it very carefully and make sure i only have one character selected the whole time the option is active, it changes the traits for multiple other characters. And it seems to be at random
Yeah, we've covered it in previous pages, and it's not random. There is a shared modifier for the character class that is being modified. I'm still not precisely sure how that modifier is being applied, but if you modify Liu Bei you will see that it also modifies the other legendary commanders, Yuan Shao and Cao Cao. Several other commanders will be modified, but some won't, which implies that there are a few different base stat modifiers available per class. We've confirmed that there are no character specific modifiers. However, many legendary characters do have their own special subclass, like Virtuous Idealist (Liu Bei), Drunken Brawler (Zhang Fei), and God of War (Guan Yu), and those can be modified with mods. You can also modify ancillaries, so there are a few different ways to make super characters, they just require some modding.

There has been NO UPDATE TO THE GAME. You guys are playing the optional BETA which we do not make trainers for. Let us know when they actually patch the working, full release version.

Is there something earth shatteringly new in the beta, like another faction, or some new mechanic? Doubtful..

Cal

The current way the trainer works is by modifying the base attribute template. The problem is that these templates come in two flavors.
You've got the semi-unique historic template which applies only to specific historical generals.
And the main problem causer, the generic attribute template. These are basically split into your Sentinel/Champion/Commander/Vanguard/Strategist general types. Keyword here being type, as every general of said type shares the same attribute template.
There are however general-specific modifiers which could have been used. I've been playing around with these myself and have found two of them so far.
You've got a skill modifier which is basically the sum of all of the player skill attribute increases on a per-attribute basis.
And there's the equipment modifier, which is on a similar sum of all attribute modifiers per-attribute.
