In this game, in addition to the online mode, there is also a story mode and offline mode.

Maybe Steam should start marking these things on the game's page. It says online MP only.

Most likely it was meant that in the free version there is only an online mode.

The free version can be played offline and online. Same goes for the paid version. Story mode is where the trainer would be most helpful. In that mode there are no battles that are MP and it plays out like a single player campaign, hence the "story" mode. I'm for having a trainer for that reason alone.

I'd love if this got a trainer too, mainly for the offline portion. To tell the truth I can't stand the arena fighter concept, where everything is nearly unlocked right from the start for you. But I can't deny the attraction to this game due to loving the FF series and the graphics. I've purchased this back when it released on PS4, and got it again to play it since my switch over to PC. I won't be anywhere near online mode and hope to use this exclusively for offline play.
