Get to the building, enter it and get attacked by the humananimal, now have watched the video on youtube. Still get defeated by the humananimal, tried everything. Even used keyboard and xbox controller and still get defeated.. How is that the person on youtube defeats the humananimal first time and yet when I try it get defeated...

And yes trainer NP9 Creatures Don't attack was active.

Anyone have ideas or tips, because frankly cannot continue game if constantly get defeated... 20 times in a row... going by the prompts in game... one would think devs would allow players to use melee (melee did not work after using the interact key.

I am having the exact same problem. In the Chapter, The Volga I am searching for mechanic Krest to fix the Aurora and whenever I attempt to enter the building a Ghoul or Mananimal or something semi-humanoid attacks me and my melee combat is completely ineffective. This beast has killed me almost 50 times. I can't advance in the game... any ideas (that work) would be appreciated. I keep spamming the "V" control for melee attack and I can't hurt this NPC. THIS COMPLETELY SUX! 😭

I just keep hitting the "alt" key (interact, use on my setup) repeatedly as fast as I can during that scene and eventually you get to shoot it after fending it off several times. Is your health already low or critical?

If you are talking about the scripted attack for when you try to enter the building, there is a QTE and I've noticed that even without the trainer the game doesn't show them all prompts (jerry cans can be interacted bother not prompt, quick patching gas mask, books and letters). What difficulty are you on? Ranger hardcore removes all prompts, and since the button tapping is annoying and loud at night, I went into options and switched the mode over to just holding the button (there's also just tapping it once I think). I recommend you try this as one who hates unneeded QTEs it made the game more enjoyable.
