GOG has released the original 1990s edition of the game, as opposed to this modern remake. If we want a trainer for that, will it require a new listing in the database or should it be a specific GOG trainer here?

yes. especially since the game has less than 100 people who have downloaded the trainer for it TOTAL.. pretty unpopular title for us to sink time into, and there is likely to be a ton of problems working with a game from 1990, as they are usually DOS or otherwise games that require a lot of work and workarounds to work on them.
