Hi,
For some reason, changing the relationship to 1 does not change it in game. It still remains whatever it was when I saved it.
Maybe I am doing it wrong, how do I change Argon relationship in-game to say 20? What is the correct value in the save game editor for that relationship?
Thanks,

You need to change it on both sides. Player -> Faction and Faction -> Player. It might also be that relationships are calculated that when you are a friend of faction X but faction Y hates faction X then faction Y also hates you.
You can first try changing your relationship to Argon to 1. Then on the other side change Argon to Player also to 1. This should somehow change the value ingame. Or use "Set Max Relationship" button to set all your relationships to a good result.

Hello, when I try to hit the "Open" Tab on the trainer it automatically force closes. I've tried all the troubleshooting options and none have worked. Am I doing something wrong or is it the game version?

So I tried different versions of relationships in-game and then used the editor to see what changes. What I found out is that the editor only works on
criminal khaak saleplate xenon
It did not show me relationships of the other races. In turn changing their values did not have an effect in game.

Take a look at the topic on this section about XML edits. It has a small portion on editing the relations. It's a bit more in depth than using the editor but making some changes to the XML will make them show up in the editor as well. Note, you want to use the booster relation line for editing your faction relations.

@AeonAvaonkre
I'm having the exact same issue, have both disabled AV (defender) and have added exceptions of the folder the trainers are in and the folder they run from (%userprofile%\CheatHappens\Work\Runtime).
I've ensured they are running as administrator (getting elevation prompt clicking yes).
No idea why when you click open the trainer just CTD's.
If anyone knows of what I'm doing wrong feel free to share, because the rating on the save game editor suggests this is not a widespread problem.
